Thunder Country Diving’s History
Established in 1971, Thunder Country Diving began with a course called Safe Scuba. As diving equipment and training have evolved, the principles of safe scuba continue to serve as the foundation of our programs today. We offer certifications for all levels, whether you are just starting with your first course or an experienced diver seeking specialty or professional-level training.
Scuba and snorkeling are not just thrilling for adults; they are perfect for children as well. Our Scuba Rangers program is designed specifically for kids, giving them the chance to explore the underwater world while having a fun, educational experience.
At Thunder Country Diving, the customer always comes first. We strive to provide the best service in Northern Ontario, ensuring you learn to dive safely and enjoyably. Diving is a natural stress reliever and provides a chance to unwind and escape the pressures of everyday life.
We also prioritize environmentally responsible diving. We encourage all divers to respect the coral reefs they explore and make informed choices as underwater adventurers. Remember, do not touch; take only photos and leave only bubbles. Keeping fins, gear, and hands away from coral helps minimize human impact on these delicate ecosystems.
Thunder Country Diving proudly supports EcoDivers, a marine cleanup group actively reducing pollution and litter in Lake Superior. By combining safe diving practices with environmental stewardship, we ensure that every dive is both enjoyable and sustainable.
